Gap Transients Interacting with Circumstellar Medium

چکیده

In the last 20 years, modern wide-field surveys discovered a new class of peculiar transients, which lie in luminosity gap between standard supernovae and classical novae. These transients are often called “intermediate optical transients” or “gap transients”. They usually distinguished subgroups based on their phenomenology, such as supernova impostors, intermediate red luminous this review, we present brief overview observational features possible physical scenarios to date, attempt understand nature.

Supernova Interaction with a Circumstellar Medium

The explosion of a core collapse supernova drives a powerful shock front into the wind from the progenitor star. A layer of shocked circumstellar gas and ejecta develops that is subject to hydrodynamic instabilities. The hot gas can be observed directly by its X-ray emission, some of which is absorbed and re-radiated at lower frequencies by the ejecta and the circumstellar gas. Synchrotron radi...

Subaru Spectroscopy of the Interacting Type Ia Supernova SN 2002ic: Evidence of a Hydrogen-rich, Asymmetric Circumstellar Medium

Optical spectroscopy of the Type Ia supernova SN 2002ic obtained on 2003 June 27.6 UT, i.e., ∼ 222 rest-frame days after explosion, is presented. Strong H emission indicates an interaction between the expanding SN ejecta and an H-rich circumstellar medium (CSM). The spectrum of SN 2002ic resembles those of SNe 1997cy and 1999E. The three SNe also have similar luminosities, suggesting that they ...

SN Shock Evolution in the Circumstellar Medium surrounding SN 1987A

We study the structure of the circumstellar medium surrounding SN 1987A in the equatorial plane. Furthermore, we study the evolution of the SN shock within this medium during the first 25 years, and the resulting hard X-ray and radio emission from the remnant.

Amino acids interacting with defected carbon nanotubes: ab initio calculations

The adsorption of a number of amino acids on a defected single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) isinvestigated by using the density-functional theory (DFT) calculations. The adsorption energies andequilibrium distances are calculated for various configurations such as amino acid attaching to defectsites heptagon, pentagon and hexagon in defective tube and also for several molecular orientationswi...
